NEILG invites you to join the discussion on what federal contractors are doing to prepare for the deadline set forth in Executive Order 14173 – Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity. (EO 14173) for federal contractors and subcontractors to cease compliance with EO 11246 and continue compliance with Section 503 and VEVRAA obligations. We anticipate much to discuss so we are scheduling a one (1) hour session, but participants are welcome to drop off as schedules require.
We will start with a quick legal update on the status of court cases affecting the implementation of EO 14173. We will then open up the conversation to discuss how federal contractors and other organizations working in this space are preparing to comply with the requirements of EO 14173, Sec 3. (b)(i), “For 90 days from the date of this order, Federal contractors may continue to comply with the regulatory scheme in effect on January 20, 2025.”, and brainstorm ideas for shifting to new best practices by the first deadline of April 20, 2025.
